Plenty specializes in Director positions and above for startups from Series A-C. Plenty has dedicated team members for Product + Engineering, Go-to-Market (sales, marketing, customer success), and G&A functions (finance, operations, people, talent). This allows us to grow with a startup and support multiple hires (over 50% of our searches are from repeat clients).
How do you balance quality with speed?
We intentionally take on half the number of searches per team member (vs. traditional firms). This allows us to focus in a way that the traditional firms can’t, allowing us to find the right fit, faster.
Do you work with first-time founders?
Of course! We love working with first-time founders. Our team has direct experience working in startups led by first-time founders, so we understand your needs and challenges.

Our network is filled with candidates who love to build. All have early stage experience, and most have worked for large, reputable companies in the past. These folks know what great looks like, and have shifted into early-stage startups because they love the impact and the journey.
Why do you focus on the early stage?
This is the most vulnerable stage for startups, and the easiest stage to get hiring wrong. Far too often, startups over-hire and bring in strategy people who can’t be hands-on, or under-hire and bring in people who can’t scale with the company. We thread that needle in every search and thrive on the impact it has on our clients’ ability to scale.
